Hey all, I am a frontend web developer based in (Bay Ridge) Brooklyn, New York. I currently enjoy and specialize in frontend web technologies. I have a range of full stack experience with corporate companies, startups and agencies. My main language is JavaScript, and the libraries/frameworks that I currently use include ReactJS, Redux and GraphQL.
My passion is to create and solve problems. I create with my mind and body through bboying. I enjoy translating what I envision through developing a web app, a website, a function, a medium article, taking photos, or simply writing my thoughts on paper.
My coding knowledge comes from a combination of just being curious from when I was in high school (visual basics, c++, html, and flash), and throughout college with C++, and Matlab. After getting my bachelor's of science in Mechanical Engineering and working in the industry for 2 years, it became stagnant and just super boring.
What I enjoyed about Mech Eng was the robotics courses, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and ProEngineer. Basically all the rendering software. The fascination in being able to create digital renderings really resounded in me and is what drove me towards code, in particular the web development. My code knowledge came from a combination of self taught, attending meetups, my brother, working in the tech community and eventually a bootcamp. And of course being an egghead member.
Why did I choose this path? Technology is the future and the future is now. Coding to me is the medium between my mind and reality.
